Types of Dental Fillings We Offer in Frankston

Professional whitening suits most adults who want to brighten their natural teeth. It’s particularly effective for treating:

Composite (White) Fillings

Blend naturally with your tooth for a flawless finish.

Strong bond to your natural tooth

It looks just like your real teeth

However, whitening isn’t suitable for everyone. During your consultation, we’ll assess your teeth to ensure it’s the proper treatment for you.

What to Expect During Treatment

Step 1: Your Initial Assessment

We’ll check your teeth thoroughly and take X-rays if needed. You’ll get a clear explanation of your options, including the types of fillings available and the costs.

Step 2: The Procedure

We’ll numb the area with a local anaesthetic so you won’t feel a thing. Then, we’ll remove the decay, clean the area, and place the filling. After shaping and polishing, you’ll be good to go.

Step 3: Aftercare Support

You’ll receive simple care tips, and we’ll monitor the filling at future check-ups to ensure everything stays on track.

Cutting‑Edge Tools and Techniques

We use modern materials like composite resin and precision placement methods to get the best results possible. Digital colour matching helps us create dental fillings in Frankston that blend in perfectly, and our curing and layering techniques give your filling lasting strength and a natural feel.

Signs You Might Need a Filling

Keep an eye out for these signs:

How to Prevent Future Decay

Brush in the morning and night. Use fluoride toothpaste, floss once a day, and rinse with an antibacterial mouthwash to keep your teeth and gums in top shape.

Try to cut back on sugary treats and drink plenty of water. Seeing us regularly means we can spot any problems early and help you steer clear of needing more fillings later.

Composite fillings last around 7–10 years, while amalgam and ceramic ones can last much longer with proper care.

Not at all! We use local anaesthetic to keep things completely pain-free. Most patients are surprised by how easy it is.

Yes—our white composite and ceramic fillings are colour-matched to your natural teeth, so they blend in perfectly.

If a filling feels loose or rough or causes discomfort, it might need replacing. We’ll check it during routine visits.

If left untreated, decay can worsen, causing infections, discomfort, and possibly requiring more complex treatments like root canals or tooth removal.

Getting it White

Fun Stuff, giving a patient a brighter smile is always a rewarding experience for us.

Whether is just something you’ve always wanted to do or for a special occasion or even if you’ve had it done before and would like to take it up a notch or even to maintain  that beaming smile we can help.

Our Zoom in chair whitening system is tried and true so if it isn’t broke why fix it!

Zoom has been around since the days of Extreme Make over and we have been recommending this procedure for over 20 years, wow that’s scary.

Philips Zoom Whitespeed system is about an hour treatment done in house. This system uses a patented gel with the Zoom LED lamp. As part of this procedure all soft tissues are protected from both the gel and LED lamp. The Gel is applied to your teeth and exposed to the LED lamp in 15-minute intervals, 45 minute or 3 sessions are recommended however up to 60 minutes are an option. The lamp has setting that can be adjusted in case of any sensitivity and your kit does come with relief gel for any zings you may feel directly after the treatment, these zings won’t last very long if at all.

It is recommended to have had a scale and clean before to remove any surface stains and for the practitioner to have a chat about your expected results. We don’t like to promise the world and not deliver.

Why we recommend in chair whitening is because its done within about an hour, its in a controlled environment and we get to see happy patients which makes us happy.

Now the awesome bit, cost $450 Whitening only which is super inexpensive.

BUT did you know that some private health insurances will contribute to teeth whitening.

The item code for this procedure is #118 and usually x12= 6 upper teeth and 6 lower teeth. Depending on your rebate you could be almost nothing out of pocket WHOO! but sorry you will have to check with your health fund.
