Dental Treatments & Services

Dental concerns can be straightforward, complex or difficult to describe. This service guide groups the clinic’s current treatments so you can find more detailed information and choose an appropriate appointment. A website description cannot diagnose a dental condition, and the treatment you need may be different from the one you initially expect.

If you have pain, swelling, trauma or another urgent concern, call the clinic. For routine care, cosmetic questions or a longer-term issue, use the links below to learn what an assessment may involve.

Our Dental Services

Our dental clinic provides complete care in one convenient location. Whether it’s preventive maintenance or a more advanced treatment, we’ve got you covered.

Preventive and General Dental Care

Preventive dental care focuses on monitoring oral health, reducing modifiable risks and identifying changes that may need attention. A recall interval should be based on the individual rather than automatically set at six months for everyone.

Dental Check-Up and Cleaning

Examination of the teeth, gums, bite and oral tissues, with cleaning and X-rays when clinically indicated.

Children's Dental Care

Age-appropriate examinations, prevention, advice for parents and treatment planning for developing teeth.

Gum Health Assessment

Evaluation of bleeding, swelling, recession, gum pockets and other signs that may require treatment or referral.

Restorative Dentistry

Restorative care aims to repair damaged teeth, manage disease or replace missing teeth where appropriate. The dentist will consider the condition of the tooth, supporting tissues, bite, general health, maintenance requirements and reasonable alternatives.

Tooth-Coloured Fillings

Tooth-coloured fillings for suitable cavities, worn areas or minor fractures.

Dental Crowns

Dental crowns to cover and protect selected teeth that are heavily restored, cracked, weakened or otherwise suitable.

Dental Bridges

Dental bridges as one possible fixed option for replacing a missing tooth or teeth.

Root Canal Treatment

Root canal treatment to manage infection or inflammation inside a tooth when the tooth is considered restorable.

Tooth Extraction

Tooth extraction when a tooth cannot reasonably be retained or removal is the preferred option after assessment.

Full or Partial Dentures

Full or partial dentures for suitable patients who need removable tooth replacement.

Cosmetic Dentistry

Cosmetic dental treatment is elective and should be considered after oral health, expectations, maintenance and alternatives have been discussed. Results vary, and some treatments involve ongoing costs or changes to tooth structure.

Teeth Whitening

Professional teeth whitening for suitable natural teeth, following an examination and discussion of sensitivity, limitations and maintenance.

Clear Aligners

Clear aligner assessment for selected tooth-alignment concerns, including discussion of treatment commitment, risks, alternatives and retention.

Custom Dental Appliances

Custom appliances are made for a particular mouth and purpose. They still require assessment, correct use, cleaning and review.

Custom-Fitted Sports Mouthguards

Custom-fitted sports mouthguards to help reduce the risk or severity of dental and oral injury during sport.

Night Guards or Occlusal Splints

Night guards or occlusal splints for selected patients with grinding, clenching, tooth wear or related concerns.

Retainers

Retainers to help maintain tooth position after orthodontic or aligner treatment.

Other Dental Prosthetics and Appliances

Other dental prosthetics and appliances where clinically appropriate.

Emergency and Urgent Dental Care

Urgent dental problems may include severe pain, swelling, trauma, a knocked-out adult tooth, a fractured tooth, a lost restoration or bleeding that is difficult to control. Call the clinic for triage and appointment advice. Availability varies and should be confirmed.

For breathing or swallowing difficulty, major facial trauma, severe mouth or tongue swelling, or heavy bleeding into the throat, call triple zero or attend an emergency department.
